Restorative Yoga: Once a month I love to practice restorative yoga with my yoga teacher Jackie. This form of Yoga (restorative yoga) is the centering of your breath and body. Aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness and gentle movement for extended periods of time. The props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, yoga belt and eye pillow) used in Restorative Yoga help assist you in holding poses for a longer period of time (5-20).
Myself personally, I love this form of Yoga as I find it helps me to relax, unwind, meditate, hold poses, stretch & an over all well balanced practice for mind, body and soul. Restorative Yoga to me is like a little treat for my body, mind & soul once a month that I look so forward to.
